Bodycote Metroplex : Arlington (Metroplex)Jerry Luce began his career in heat treating at the age of 17. By age 20 he was responsible for all factory operations. In 1982 Jerry's dream of owning his own operation became reality, with one employee (himself), one 24x36 Lindberg IQ, and 3500 sq ft of factory space.
Within three years MHT had expanded to 14000 sq ft. In 1995, with no additional space available, a new location was sought. The 6 IQ's, 1 Vacuum furnace, 2 Ion Nitriding units, 2 Induction units, 1 Pusher furnace and 1 grinding unit, along with 15 employees, were relocated to a new factory across the street. The new factory included 32000 sx ft as well as 10 cares of land for future expansion.
The growth continued with numerous equipment installations and factory expansions. By the end of 2006 the facility had 120,000 sq ft, 109 employees and the following equipment:
16 Atmosphere Batch IQ's
5 Super 72" Atmosphere IQ's
4 Atmosphere Pit furnaces
